Schleuniger to Exhibit Latest in Wire Processing at The Electrical Wire Processing Technology Expo

Schleuniger, Inc., a global technology company and innovative solutions supplier to the wire processing and testing industry, will be exhibiting at the Electrical Wire Processing Technology Expo (EWPTE) at the Wisconsin Center on May 17 – 18 in Milwaukee, WI. An exclusive event for the electrical wire harness, wire, and cable processing industries, EWPTE is where the industry comes together to connect, learn, share, and explore new technologies, products, and services. Schleuniger will be in booth #1234 alongside Cirris and adaptronic providing hands-on demonstrations of innovative wire processing and testing solutions.

Schleuniger will be demonstrating its newest benchtop crimping machine, the UniCrimp 208. The new UniCrimp 208 features a modern design with intuitive operation and provides the high-quality performance one would expect from a Schleuniger product. With 33 kN (3.3 tons) of crimping force, the UniCrimp 208 can process wires up to 10 mm² (8 AWG) and accepts most industry-standard mini-style applicators for crimping rear- and side-feed terminals. The optional, fully integrated ACO 08 crimp force monitoring system offers enhanced quality assurance.

The fully programmable StripCrimp 208 will also be highlighted. With the StripCrimp 208 high-precision stripping and crimping of rear- and side-feed terminals with a cross-section range of 0.05 to 6 mm² (30 to 10 AWG) can be processed in a single operation. It features an intuitive touchscreen display, job memory, and barcode job recall, and the new HMI doubles as the optional crimp force monitor interface. The StripCrimp 208 also features ample stripping power, a new gripper assembly to aid with smoother wire placement into the terminal, and short breakout lengths. Other options include an integrated bad-piece cutter and carrier strip chopper.

Additional machines from Schleuniger’s various product lines will also be demonstrated. As always, Schleuniger’s wire processing experts will be on hand to assist you in finding the right products for your specific wire processing needs and answer any questions you may have.

In addition to the exhibition, attendees of EWPTE can expect a robust agenda of seminars, workshops, and exclusive networking opportunities. This year, Schleuniger and Cirris will be taking the stage to discuss all things automation and testing.

  • Rob Boyd, Head of Product Management at Schleuniger, Inc. is presenting “The Effective Automation of Things” on Wednesday, May 17 from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M.
  • Kevin Shelley, Product Manager at Cirris is presenting “Upstream Testing for Error-Proof Assembly” on Wednesday, May 17 from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M.
