New location expands support for aerospace electrical interconnect and wire harness manufacturing in one of the industry’s fastest-growing markets.
BENGALURU, India – FDH Aero (“FDH”) announced the opening of its new sales office in Bengaluru, India, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony held May 13 along with a traditional pooja ceremony honoring local customs. The celebration also included an evening reception attended by customers, suppliers, and government officials.
The new Bengaluru office brings FDH’s Hardware and Electronics divisions together under one roof and strengthens the company’s support for India’s growing aerospace and defense manufacturing sector, particularly in the areas of electrical interconnect, wire and cable, connectors, backshells, harness components, and related aerospace electrical products.
Supported by local teams with aerospace and engineering experience, the new office will provide in-country inventory, technical support, and closer coordination with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and harness manufacturers throughout the region.
“Strong commercial aerospace demand, rising defense investment, and ‘Made in India’ initiatives are accelerating growth across India’s aerospace and defense sector,” said Matthew Lacki, President of FDH Hardware. “With our new office in Bengaluru, we are better positioned to support Tier 1 customers and manufacturers with the hardware, electrical interconnect products, and local sourcing support they need to keep production moving.”
FDH Aero appointed Adhavan Kamalanathan to lead FDH Electronics in India and Victor Bharath to lead FDH Hardware. Together, the two leaders bring decades of experience supporting aerospace OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers across electronics, electrical systems, and engineered aerospace components.
The company’s electronics and electrical product offering includes aerospace wire and cable, connectors, contacts, relays, heat shrink products, shielding materials, backshells, cable management products, and other components commonly used in aircraft electrical and wire harness assemblies.
“Opening our Bengaluru office is an important milestone in our global expansion,” said Ian Locke, EVP, Sales, FDH Electronics. “By bringing our hardware and electronics teams together with experienced local professionals, we are better positioned to support the growing demand for aerospace electrical products and manufacturing throughout the region.”
