Komax launches next-generation fully automatic crimp-to-crimp machine with the Alpha 520. Specifically designed for the North American industrial market, the Alpha 520 combines ease of use, maximum flexibility, and full networking capabilities. It’s perfect for customers who want to produce a variety of batch sizes and a wide range of lengths, cross sections, and cable end designs.
The Alpha 520 was designed to meet the industrial market’s specific requirements today and into the future. It can precisely process a broad range of wire types with cross sections from 0.05 – 6 mm² (30 – 10 AWG). Even short wires from 20 mm (0.78”) can be processed with ease. Integrated quality monitoring and verification simplify operation and increase productivity.
The modular design of the Alpha 520 provides adequate accessibility and exceptional flexibility. Various configurations are possible with a large selection of processing and quality modules. For unique applications, the Alpha 520 can be easily customized by the US engineering team to meet customer-specific requirements. Successor to the CR.22, the Alpha 520 design concept further simplifies the setup and material changeover processes to minimize machine downtime and increase performance, even with small batch sizes and frequent material changes.
The Alpha 520 is equipped with intuitive Komax HMI operating software for simple, consistent, and error-free operation. Step-by-step user guidance and customizable procedures guarantee perfect processes and results. The optional machine dashboard provides additional functions to increase transparency, efficiency, and productivity.
A well-maintained machine is a top-performing machine. To ensure maximum productivity, the Alpha 520 comes with a 2-year warranty, including 1 year of Komax Care Maintain and 1 year of Komax Connect. Komax Care guarantees the machine is always perfectly maintained and ready to deliver the maximum output and quality. Komax Connect cloud-based service processes production data in real-time to provide the exact information needed to optimize the productivity of the machine while keeping the quality as high and consistent as possible.
The new Alpha 520 will be showcased in booth 435 at the Electrical Wire Processing Technology Expo May 17-18 at the Wisconsin Center in Milwaukee, WI. Komax will be onsite to demonstrate capabilities and answer questions.
