Komax, the global leader in automated wire processing solutions, proudly introduces the Omega 750 S—a cutting-edge machine designed for high-precision automated wire harness assembly. This innovative system sets a new industry benchmark with its exceptional performance, efficiency, and adaptability.
High-Precision Wire Processing
The Omega 750 S is designed to handle complex wire harness production with unmatched precision and speed. It supports a wide processing cross-section range from 0.13 to 1.5mm² (26-15 AWG) and can sequentially process wires using one of its three installed blade pairs. With advanced automation, software integration, and an intuitive user interface, this system maximizes productivity while upholding the highest quality standards. The enhanced S series offers even shorter cycle times, making it more economical.
The Omega 750 S accommodates up to 10 modules, ensuring optimal results for specific applications and seamlessly adapting to various assembly processes.
Advanced Wire Harness Block Loading
The Omega 750 S is a fully automatic machine designed for wire harness production requiring connector block insertion. This highly flexible system enables operator-independent production of double-sided connector block loading with the highest quality and complexity, eliminating the need for interim storage of individual wires. It offers an economical solution to miniaturization trends and caters to the demands of a smaller production batch.
The Omega series features a versatile pallet system capable of accommodating various connector housings. This allows multiple housing types to be mounted on a single pallet, enabling the simultaneous production of different wire harness configurations. The pallets can be loaded and unloaded while the machine is operational, thanks to a newly developed loading grip that holds the wire instead of the terminal.
Cutting, crimping, and loading of terminals are all performed on the same machine, eliminating the need for time-consuming storage of individual wires. A high-precision force sensor monitors the entire insertion process, ensuring the correct latching of terminal parts in the housing. The automatic wire changer supports up to 36 different wires across the full cross-section range. Additionally, two automated inkjet printers mark the wires in black and white within the same sequence. Production data can be sent directly to the machine via a network, with quality data saved for each wire harness, ensuring full traceability.
Key Features of the Omega 750 S:
- Unrivaled Processing Speed: Fast and efficient wire processing significantly reduces production times and increases throughput.
- Versatile Wire Selection: Automatic wire selection enables up to 36 wires to be drawn from a full range of cross sections.
