DMC recently announced the mil-qualification of their new Y1115, Y1116, Y1117 series of dies.
These dies provide a stronger and more reliable solution for crimping insulated terminals and are an alternative for the very popular Y501 die. The Y501 is a 2-cavity die designed to crimp 3 sizes of terminals (10-12 AWG -Yellow and 14-24 AWG- Blue and Red). The Y111 series was designed to provide an individual die for each size (Yellow, Blue, Red). They feature an adjustable die to accommodate various thickness/diameters of manufacturer’s insulated terminals with a built-in locator.
The Y1115, Y1116, Y1117 dies are compatible with the HX4 open frame crimp tool and can also be used in the HXE4C battery and the HX23 pneumatic tools.
