AUSTIN, TX – Cetec ERP has released a set of product updates that focus on operating realities specific to cable and wire harness manufacturing. These features address common sources of schedule disruption, traceability risk, documentation overhead, tariff exposure, receiving bottlenecks, and customer part number confusion. The updates are available now across Cetec ERP versions 4.18 through 4.21 and include the following six features.
Schedule by Order Line (drag-and-drop)
Cable and harness shops deal with frequent priority changes, partial material availability, and shifting ship dates. Cetec ERP now allows planners to schedule specific order lines directly on a visual calendar which reduces manual rescheduling effort and helps keep builds aligned to real capacity instead of static dates. Users can filter to the exact work they need to place, then drag order lines into available capacity.

Partial Work Order Movement, Splits, and Merge Tools
Harness production often moves unevenly across operations such as cut, prep, crimp, splice, loom, and test. Cetec ERP’s expanded tools for splitting work orders, moving partial quantities through production, and merging split lines back together let teams reflect actual in-process reality without creating extra administrative work orders or losing traceability across partials. A merge view shows split relationships, current statuses, locations, and tags in one place.

Tariffs Auto-Applied by HTS and Country of Origin
Harness BOMs are component-dense and frequently include imported wire, terminals, connectors, seals, and backshells. Cetec ERP can now apply tariff logic automatically using HTS codes and Country of Origin settings, including component-level rules on first-level BOM items and bin-level COO tracking. This feature keeps landed cost accurate as sourcing changes, protecting margin and reducing manual review.

Additional Features Include
OCR / AI Document Scan and Attach – addresses challenges from large documentation sets such as build travelers, test results, certs, spec revisions, and customer-required forms. Documents can now be scanned or uploaded, read by OCR, and automatically matched and attached to the correct Cetec ERP record. Automatic capture and attachment cuts filing time and keeps quality and compliance records complete and easy to retrieve.
Batch Receipt Label Printing – Cetec ERP now supports batch printing of receipt labels from the receipt list or after multi-line receipts are completed. When receiving volumes are high and SKUs are granular (wire by gauge and color, terminals by plating, seals by size), this feature helps speed up receiving and putaway while reducing mislabeling risk.
Customer Part Numbers Shown on Order Material Report and Allocation List – OEM programs rely on customer part numbers for procurement and shortage resolution. With Cetec ERP customer part number fields at the BOM component level now appear directly on material demand and allocation views. Surfacing customer part numbers in the core material views reduces cross-reference errors and shortens the time from shortage identification to correct action.
