A Bright New Stage for EWPT Expo 2025

The recent EWPT Expo 2025 wrapped up in Milwaukee with strong momentum, a vibrant atmosphere, and a fresh backdrop that symbolized more than just expanded square footage—it marked a new era for the event.

Participation in the annual event was impressive. Approximately 2,994 attendees walked the floor to visit with 218 exhibitors, making this one of the most well-attended editions in recent memory.

The real headline this year, however, was the debut of the Baird Center’s North Hall—a centerpiece of Milwaukee’s $456 million expansion and modernization project. The new space brought with it a noticeable shift in experience. Windowed on one side and filled with natural light, the North Hall delivered an ambiance that elevated the mood of both exhibitors and attendees. There was a shared sentiment that the daylight-infused setting offered a refreshing change from the typical exhibit hall experience.

“Walking into the hall, you could immediately feel the difference,” noted one exhibitor. “It felt more like a creative space than a convention center. It made the conversations easier and the energy a little lighter.”

Beyond the new venue, downtown Milwaukee proved itself once again to be an ideal host. Over the past two to three years, the downtown area has undergone significant revitalization, adding an impressive array of dining, entertainment, and hotel options within walking distance of the Baird Center. Whether grabbing a quick coffee or organizing a client dinner, attendees had no shortage of quality choices.

The expo itself continued to provide the focused value it’s known for. Wire harness professionals from around the country—and beyond—engaged with the latest technology in wire processing, crimping, testing, labeling, automation, and materials. Exhibitors, many of whom return year after year, once again reported high levels of qualified leads and meaningful conversations.

Educational sessions were equally well received, with panel discussions, training tracks, and technical deep-dives drawing full rooms. Topics ranged from advancements in high-voltage EV applications to best practices in harness testing, providing actionable takeaways for teams of all sizes.

With the success of this year’s show and the renewed energy brought on by the new venue, it’s clear the EWPT Expo continues to grow not just in size, but in significance. The combination of upgraded infrastructure, a thriving downtown setting, and a highly targeted professional audience continues to make this a premier event for the wire harness and cable assembly industry.
