DMC Next Gen Battery Crimp Tools

Daniels Manufacturing has just launched its next generation of battery powered crimp tools. The tools boast Bluetooth Connectivity through the Klauke i-press® app. The i-press® software allows all tool data to be exported to check the tool status. The app displays the last service date, last five pressure values, device temperature and the number of crimps you can still make with the connected tool.

Quality validation can be tracked in the form of a project record. With i-press®, users can create projects and collate all information about crimping operations, along with any personal comments. Once the project is complete, you will receive an overview containing all information and pressure values as an attachment. All information is clearly arranged and revamped as a PDF for printing and submitting. The app is free to download.

The tools feature improved construction and an LED that displays:

  • Battery charge level
    • Current pressure
    • Max pressure
    • Firmware
    • Tool serial number
    • Number of cycles and days until next service
    • Total number of operating hours
    • Total Amp hours
    • Total cycles
    • User

Continued Benefits of Each Tool:

  • HDE51C

The HDE51C has a crimp range up to 2/0 AWG for uninsulated and 2 AWG for insulated, and a crimp force of 6 tons. The average crimp cycle time is 4 seconds and users can perform about 100 crimps per charge.

  • HDE23C

The HDE23C has a crimp range of 8 to 4/0 AWG with a crimp force of 4.5 tons. This heavy-duty battery-operated hydraulic tool is produces 4 indent crimps on contacts and may be used to crimp terminals and lugs in non-military applications. The HDE23C accepts all die assemblies and locators designed for the WA23.

  • HXE4C

The HXE4C has a crimp force of 1.5 tons with an average crimp cycle time of 2 seconds. The tool is intended to crimp copper and aluminum cable 26-10 AWG utilizing DMC “Y” dies. Users can perform about 100 crimps per charge. The head rotates 350 degrees and the die automatically opens when the crimp is complete.

  • HDE120C

The HDE120C has a crimp range of 8-4/0 AWG with a crimp force maximum of 12 tons. It is a battery powered hydraulic crimp tool with interchangeable dies for insulated lugs, uninsulated dies, and aluminum lugs. The tool features an automatic pressure relief to prevent over compression and an automatic die retraction after the crimp cycle.

  • GMT C Series Battery Tools

A variety of GMT C Series Battery Tools are available to crimp splices/terminals RBY. The average crimp time is 2 seconds, and the tool performs about 200 crimps per charge. The head rotates 350 degrees and there is an automatic release when crimp is done.

  • HCE136C

The HCE136C has a crimp range of 8 AWG to 750 MCM on copper and aluminum with a crimp force of 6.2 tons. The average crimp time is 2 seconds, and the tool performs about 150 crimps per charge with a charge time under 45 minutes. There is a pressure sensor that alerts the user of an incomplete crimp and the head rotates 360 degrees.
