The line builds on the trusted AF8, AFM8, and MH860 platforms that have set the standard for mission-critical precision crimping for decades. The new AF8-ERGO (M22520/1-01), AFM8-ERGO (M22520/2-01), and MH860-ERGO (M22520/7-01) combine the proven performance and military qualifications of their predecessors with modern engineering and user-driven ergonomic enhancements. Operators can upgrade to the latest generation while continuing to use their existing M22520-qualified turrets, positioners, and gages.
Enhanced Ergonomics
Operators can expect reduced hand fatigue and sustained performance when implementing the Gen 2 Ergo Series into their workflow. All three Gen 2 Ergo Series tools feature ribbed grips and contoured handles designed to improve comfort, control, and handling. The AF8-ERGO reduces handle span by 32% and requires an average of 20% less crimping force across selector settings. Optimized weight distribution provides a more balanced feel, further improving overall handling.
Intuitive User Interface
Technicians will also see significant improvements in both user and mechanical interfaces. Selector settings are now visible from both sides of Ergo Series tools, and a larger, more intuitive selector knob makes adjustments faster and easier.
Engineered for Long-Term Reliability
The Gen 2 Ergo Series also incorporates upgraded internal lubrication to support smoother mechanical performance over time. The AF8-ERGO features additional design enhancements that improve gaging stability, contributing to long-term reliability and consistent performance.
