Starn Tool & Mecal by Starn recently hosted the Northwestern PA Chapter NTMA Passport to Manufacturing. Students (4th-9th grade) and their parents/guardians visited leading manufacturers in the area. Passports were provided at their first shop tour, and students brought the passport to each shop they visited on the day of the event. Their passports were stamped upon completing each tour and their name was entered for the prize drawings.
“Passport to Manufacturing is always a fun event,” said Kim Flynn of Starn Marketing Group. “We get to show youth (and their parents/guardians) around our shop(s) and hopefully provide some curiosity and excitement about what manufacturing is all about. Thanks to our employees Monica, Jared, Josh, Zach and several others who assisted with the tours and presentations!”
Three school districts participated, and the program is put together by NWPA NTMA and the Crawford County K-12 Career Education Alliance. Starn Tool & Mecal by Starn had approximately 60 students (and parents/guardians) tour their facilities.
