Bruce Getchell, President of Applitek Technologies Corporation passed away on November 12, 2023,
surrounded by his family at home in Coventry, RI after a brief illness.
Bruce spent most all of his career in the electrical connector and crimp processing industry and
founded Applitek in 1989. For over three decades, Applitek has supplied crimping equipment
for applications spanning a global supply base of terminal manufacturers.
He enjoyed boating, saltwater fishing, classic cars and riding the trails in New Hampshire & Maine with his wife of 38 years, Nancy. Most important was spending time with his family and friends.
He was a member of the Rhode Island Saltwater Anglers Association, serving as Vice-President for several years.
When asked about retiring he would say “I’m never going to retire, I enjoy what I do”.
Bruce will be greatly missed by his family, friends and business associates.
