EL PASO, TX; USA, April 26, 2021 – Gustavo Farell, M-EXPO founder, is pleased to announce that the M-EXPO trade show will take place in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico on September 21 and 22, 2022. Due to current health concerns and COVID-19 welfare, the event will not take place in 2021.
M-EXPO is the only cable processing technology exhibition in the EL Paso / Juárez region. The main objective of M-EXPO is to introduce contract manufacturers (CMs) and original equipment manufacturers (OEM) to suppliers of cable processing technology equipment for the aerospace, agricultural, automotive, and other related industries.
M-EXPO is a cable processing technology event focused on the needs of the harness industry – one of the largest manufacturing industries in the north of the state of Chihuahua.
Known as the “harness capital of the world,” the El Paso / Juárez region is comprised of the largest manufacturing centers in the world. Juárez alone has more than 300 maquiladoras, manufacturing facilities run by foreign companies for export and more than 300,000 manufacturing jobs, 25 percent of which are in the harness industry.
In addition to a focused exhibition, M-EXPO 2022 will host an interesting list of conferences and training sessions. Planned topics include updates on IPC / WHMA-A-A620 reviews, supply chain risk management, design for manufacturing, and harness and cable assembly training that provide participants with the ability to identify and use key tools, materials and processes in a reliable and repeatable manner. Assemble quality harnesses.
“M-EXPO brings a focused and exclusive show for the harness and cable processing industries to the El Paso / Juárez region and introduces large CMs and OEMs with the industry’s leading suppliers of wire processing technology, equipment and tooling in all market segments,” said David Bergman, WHMA executive director. “We are looking forward to working with exhibitors and presenters to make the 2022 event highly successful.”
David Hernandez, vice president of education for IPC, adds: “Many companies in the cable and wire harness manufacturing industry are struggling to find skilled and knowledgeable production workers and have identified a strong need for comprehensive and fundamental training solutions. For the 2022 event, we are delighted to add a training session specifically for cable and harness operators.”
Gustavo Farell, director of M-EXPO commented: “Our fourth event was suspended in 2020 due to COVID. The decision was made to postpone it again in 2021 as M-EXPO is an event where people come together and we feel that due to the current situation
is not the time to do a show of this type this year. We are waiting for you at M-EXPO 2022!
After working in the harness industry for more than 30 years in the Borderplex, there is no doubt that Ciudad Juárez, Chih. is the best location for this event. Ciudad Juárez is a strategic point for M-EXPO visitors and exhibitors because we are located on the border between Mexico and the United States.”
M-EXPO is produced by the Wiring Harness Manufacturers Association (WHMA) and IPC. The 2019 event was the largest, with nearly fifty companies participating in a sold-out exhibition. Exhibitors included: Anixter, Cirris System, Lonestar, Komax, Schaefer Megomat USA, Schleuniger, and Shinmaywa (America) LTD among others.
